 Check 21 Udate

When Check 21 was introduced in 2004, the purpose was to increase the speed of check processing, thus reducing the time it takes for checks to clear your account.  The credit union will be moving to a new environment for processing checks within the next few weeks that will affect how quickly your checks clear your account.  You will no longer be able to count on "float time" when writing checks.  In order to prevent overdraft situations, please make sure you have the funds in your account before writing the check.

There will be a few changes on the Audio Response (Telephone Teller) System. 

The new number to access the Audio Response System is 1-800-732-7906.  This will be the ONLY number needed to access Audio Response.  You no longer need a Credit Union ID as this is a direct line to Americo FCU's Audio Response System.
